Who we are looking for A Software Testing Team Leader, who will assist in driving the provision of a capable, reactive and motivated delivery focused testing team.
Reporting into the Software Testing Manager, you will also engage with product managers, development managers and development team leaders across a suite of products, including our global website and it’s supporting back-end services and applications.
Your primary role will involve assisting and supporting the Software Testing Manager in the successful delivery of software, this includes coordinating the team's efforts and actively governing the team’s operational efficiency.
The focus of your role will be people management, you will stay closely connected to the solutions being tested and collaborate with other leads to maintain the high standard of testing quality produced by your team.
This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.
Commercial experience of leading large and diverse teams and projects.
Strong background in software testing.
Experience of testing large scale websites.
Excellent understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Capable of multitasking and managing multiple streams of activity, shifting focus regularly.
Ability to think in a high pressure environment and react quickly to challenging situations.
Ability to react well to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
Commitment to quality and thorough approach to work.
Planning and streamlining testing phases for efficiency, enhancing communication and addressing escalations proactively.
Reviewing and analysing requirement documents, identifying efficiency and innovation opportunities in testing solutions.
Applying governance around quality and processes and optimisation for better outcomes.
Ensuring regulatory and PCI standards are adhered to across the testing phase.
Understanding the efforts on both resource and time, whilst adopting a lean risk based approach.
Mentoring team members in pragmatism and risk-based thinking for innovation.
Facilitating the coaching of team members to assist with their development and assisting in appraisal reviews and administration responsibilities of the team.
Maintaining an open environment to encourage ideas for better testing practices.
