Salary: £25,000 Per Annum

The Role

We are currently looking for a 1st line Support engineer to join a dynamic IT team as a 1st Line Support Engineer and make a difference in a growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

As a 1st Line Support Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for technical issues and support requests, ensuring smooth operations for all users. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 systems.
  • Troubleshooting mobile devices, desktop systems, printers, and scanners.
  • Installing and configuring hardware, with strong PC configuration skills.
  • Providing remote and on-site technical support.

Required Technical Skills & Experience:

  • Proficiency in Windows 10 and Windows 11.
  • Mobile and desktop support experience.
  • Knowledge of printers, scanners, and general hardware configuration.

Personal Skills:

  • A proactive attitude with a desire to develop and succeed.
  • Excellent communication skills, suitable for users at all technical levels.
  • Exemplary telephone manner.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and resolution skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build relationships and trust.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

  • Working towards Microsoft Certifications.
  • Experience with Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
  • Backup monitoring and management knowledge.
  • Networking experience, including LAN/WAN and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with ITIL principles.
  • Proficiency in creating network documentation.
  • Experience with remote support tools, helpdesk systems, and monitoring software.
