Mobile Engineer
Location: Barry, South Wales & Mobile Working
We’re looking to recruit a Mobile Engineer to fit aftermarket vehicle technology to customer vehicles across South Wales.
This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday, 8.30am-5pm.
The salary range is £32,000-£35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
You will be responsible for…
Travelling to customer locations to install products such as vehicle alarms, trackers, beacons, reverse cameras, witness cameras, vehicle warning safety kits, FORS compliance kits, CCTV and 360 cameras on various types of vehicles.
Responding to and attending service calls to diagnose faults, providing safe & appropriate solutions.
Conducting pre-installation inspections to ensure compatibility and safety.
Installing products according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
Testing installations to ensure proper functionality and safety.
Providing demonstrations and instructions to customers on the use and maintenance of products.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues or concerns raised by customers during or after installation.
What we're looking for in our ideal candidate...
You will be an experienced Auto Electrician, with clear experience of fitting aftermarket vehicle technology, such as vehicle alarms, trackers, beacons, reverse cameras, witness cameras, vehicle warning safety kits, FORS compliance kits, CCTV and 360 cameras.
We have an outstanding record of high-quality work delivery and excellent customer service. Our ideal candidate must have high standards, an eye for detail, and take pride in their work.
You will have excellent customer service and communication skills; talking customers through the work undertaken, how to best use the products/services provided, and answering queries to a high standard.
You will have excellent admin & organisational skills and ensure the timely and accurate completion of paperwork that reflects the needs of customers and the work undertaken.
You must have a passion for vehicles & vehicle maintenance and be enthusiastic about applying your knowledge and developing your skills.
You must have a current and valid driving licence. As the role is mobile, you will undertake significant travel within the South Wales region in a company provided van.
