About Us
Mathewson Limited was founded in 1998 and has been providing high quality underfloor heating ever since. At the forefront of innovation, we have seen the business grow into one of the country’s leading underfloor heating contractors/designers. The company was acquired by Cenergist Limited in 2022 who endeavour to continue the success and growth of the business.
We are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week.

The Role
As a Business Development Manager, you will develop sales of our underfloor heating solutions within the UK underfloor heating industry.
Driving growth by identifying new business opportunities and fostering client relationships, you will develop and manage a pipeline of opportunities, convert leads into revenue streams and deliver on sales targets.
You will network extensively, perform market analysis and maintain a deep understanding of our products and services to communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders and partners.
Additionally, you will:
- Assist with bid writing, tender management and submissions and lead generation activities
- Act as the initial point of contact for client queries
- Expand the network of repeat clients
- Represent us at industry events
About You
To be considered as a Business Development Manager, you will need:
- Proven experience and success in a sales environment
- Experience working within the construction industry
- Bid writing experience
- Good working knowledge of underfloor heating
- The ability to negotiate and influence
- The ability to write high quality project proposals
- A full, valid driving licence and the willingness to travel nationwide regularly
