Domestic Abuse Help Line & Intake Practitioner
West Yorkshire Area
Rate - £17.12 per hour
12-month contract, 37 hours, (occasionally working out of normal office hours)

Spencer Clarke Group is recruiting a Domestic Abuse Help Line & Intake Practitioner for our client in the West Yorkshire area.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of domestic abuse issues and working with vulnerable individuals in crisis,
Predominately this will be an office-based role with a need for flexibility travel to other sites.

Role Responsibilities:

Receive and process agency referrals and self-referrals into the service.
Provide support and safety planning to domestic abuse victims
Provide service information, signposting or providing onward referrals to appropriate services as required/appropriate, including emergency accommodation and sanctuary provision
Ensure that any issues in relation to child or adult protection concerns are responded to appropriately and are brought to the attention of Senior SDAP/ManagerEssential Requirements:

You will need an IDVA qualification or a relevant degree
Experience working in the field of domestic abuse
Have knowledge of services available to support perpetrators of domestic abuse.
This post will require a Police vetting process to be undertaken.(Must have a full, clean UK driving licence)
