Job Description: Domestic Abuse Service Coordinator

Spencer Clarke Group is seeking a highly skilled Domestic Abuse Service Coordinator to join our team in West Yorkshire. This role is ideal for someone who is experienced in working with domestic abuse victims and has a strong understanding of the complex issues surrounding this sensitive topic.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Process agency referrals and self-referrals into the service, ensuring timely and effective support is provided to clients.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with local agencies, organizations, and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
  3. Provide comprehensive support and safety planning to domestic abuse victims, including guidance on available resources and services.
  4. Identify and respond to child or adult protection concerns, escalating these to Senior SDAP/Manager as necessary.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • IDVA qualification or relevant degree required.
  • At least 1 year's experience working in a similar role, preferably within the domestic abuse sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work patterns.

Remuneration:

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of £17,120 per annum (£8.28 per hour), plus benefits and opportunities for professional development.
