We are seeking an experienced qualified Social Worker to manage a caseload of child in need, child protection and children in care. You will be based in Runcorn, but will also cover the Halton area.

Duties and Responsibilites:

Manage an allocated social work caseload
Assess the needs of children and young people and determine an appropriate level of intervention and service provision, including packages of support for families.
Ensure the needs and wishes of children are fully addressed in the assessment and planning process and that there is evidence of children and young people's participation.
Share responsibility for planned intervention and service provision with partners, which will include the full range of statutory meetings and other planned meetings, as necessary.
Liaise with designated line manager and comply with service requirements regarding supervision, undertaking continuous professional development and attendance at formal training.
Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time, which are commensurate with the grade of the job. Essential Criteria

Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England.
Proven experience working within an Integrated Hospital Discharge Team, with the ability to hit the ground running.
Ability to manage a complex caseload and make sound decisions quickly and effectively.
Excellent communication, assessment, and organisational skills, with a commitment to collaborative working.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Safeguarding Adults procedures.
Proficiency in using IT systems, including knowledge of Eclipse (desirable).
