Job: Childrens Social Worker - Tameside MBC

Hourly rate: £35 - £43 

Hybrid style of working.

Tameside are looking to recruit social workers to join our cared for children team. Working with care experienced young people up until the age of 18 years when they transfer to our leaving care service.

You will be part of a social work team consisting of a team manager, senior practitioner and 7 social workers.  You will receive monthly supervision and access to training offered by the local authority. 

Based in Ashton-under-Lyne and are co-located with colleagues from fostering, leaving care, youth justice and commissioning which supports with joint working. You will be part of a duty rota on a 4 weekly basis when you and your team will be office based for the full week.

You will have experience of working with care experienced young people and driving forward care and permanence plans in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people.

Core working hours are: Mon-Weds 8.30-5pm; Thursday (phone number removed)pm; Friday 8.30-4pm.
