The role and school

Starting in September 2024, as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you should possess advanced skills and a strong understanding of specific areas of the curriculum. Your role will involve providing exceptional support to the class under your care. Flexibility is key, as you will work across Early Years (EY), Key Stage 1 (KS1), and Key Stage 2 (KS2). You should be comfortable working both one-on-one and with small groups, playing a crucial role in ensuring students fully grasp the material presented to them. Additional duties may include covering classes, managing Planning, Preparation, and Assessment (PPA) time, and planning and teaching your own lessons. The school, located in Audenshaw, offers exciting and innovative learning experiences for its students and is committed to fostering authentic educational opportunities that lead to success for all. The school is led by a dynamic and supportive senior leadership team and offers ample opportunities for professional growth.

Requirements 

To be considered for the Higher-Level Teaching Assistant position, you will need as a minimum: 

Can provide observation, assessment and be able to feedback to Class Teacher.
Hold a Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant Certificate
Have experience of the national curriculum, phonics, and an educational setting.
Be flexible and creative when supporting teaching.
