The Role: Utilities & Council Tax Administrator
As a Utilities & Council Tax Administrator, you will support the Utilities Team by managing utility bills and accounts for various properties while assisting tenants in understanding their responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage weekly top-ups for properties with prepayment meters

* Liaise regarding petty cash and key top-ups

* Sort and distribute daily post for Utilities and Council Tax

* Handle invoices and update relevant spreadsheets

* Request utility bills from suppliers and local authorities

* Set up accounts for new properties

* Identify tenants needing support with top-ups

* Provide clear communication to residents and suppliers

* Manage Utilities and Council Tax inboxes and department mobile

* Organise applications for Single Person Discounts

* Communicate with local authorities on behalf of tenants

* Manage recovery of overpaid council tax and record refunds

* Inform councils of void and construction periods

* Register water accounts and update liability changes

* Ensure timely updates to databases and management software

* Perform general filing and scanning duties

Skills & Knowledge:

* Strong administration and organisational skills

* Excellent attention to detail and task prioritisation

* Exceptional interpersonal skills

* Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment

* Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

* Flexibility to adapt to varying demands
