We're seeking a SENCO to join our partnered school

Are you a compassionate and experienced educator with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Our partnered school is seeking a dedicated SENCO to lead the provision for pupils with additional needs. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children, working closely with staff, pupils, and parents to ensure that every child has the support they need to succeed.

Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Salary: Determined by experience

Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage the provision for pupils with SEN across the school.

* Work with teachers and support staff to develop tailored learning plans and interventions.

* Oversee the assessment, identification, and tracking of pupils with SEN.

* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).

* Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure that pupils receive appropriate support.

* Provide training and guidance to staff on inclusive teaching practices and SEN strategies.

* Monitor and review the progress of pupils with SEN, using data to inform decisions and improvements.

* Play a key role in the school’s leadership team, contributing to overall school improvement.

Requirements:

* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

* Previous experience within a school environment, with specific experience working with SEN pupils.

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and ideally a National Award for SEN Coordination (or working towards it).

* Strong knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice and current SEN legislation.

* Excellent communication and organisational skills.

* A proactive and compassionate approach to supporting pupils with additional needs.
