About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join our team at an outstanding school in Oxfordshire. As a passionate and dedicated professional, you will play a crucial role in creating a successful learning environment for pupils with Special Educational Needs.

This permanent, full-time position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of pupils with SEN. You will work closely with colleagues to develop and implement specialist interventions and strategies to support their needs, ensuring positive outcomes and fostering mainstream integration opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Development: Work with colleagues to lead the development of a bespoke provision for pupils with SEN needs.
  • Interventions and Planning: Oversee the planning and provision of specialist ASD/ Communication and Interaction interventions across the whole school.
  • Collaboration: Direct the work of the Teaching Assistant, and liaise with the SENCO, Trust Lead SRP Teachers, and Trust Director of SEN.
  • Professional Development: Provide formal and informal training, development, and support to school staff to enhance their understanding and strategies for supporting SEN pupils.
  • Individualized Curriculum: Plan and implement a highly individualized curriculum for pupils with specific SEN needs.
  • External Collaboration: Work closely with external professionals to deliver and monitor effective specialist interventions.
  • Monitoring and Communication: Implement tracking processes to monitor key data for pupils in the provision and promote positive communication with parents.
