We have three fantastic opportunities for Housing Managers to join Home Groups awesome housing team in Whitehaven and the surrounding areas.
As our Housing Manager youll be the face-to-face customer support to our communities. This is the perfect job for you if you like variety and delivering excellent services to our customers and communities. Youll go home at the end of the day knowing youve made a difference in our customers lives
Typical day as a Housing Manager
- Through visibility, engagement with customers and proactivity on our estates, youll really get to get to know our communities.
- Youll look after a number of patches and neighbourhoods (ably supported by our Community Housing Assistants).
- Through visibility, engagement with customers and proactivity on our estates, youll really get to get to know our communities. This will help us to improve our local neighbourhoods.
- Proactively managing anti-social behaviours in our estates, responding to customer queries and complaints.
- Managing our voids process including liaising with local authorities.
- Carry out estate inspections, engaging and meeting with contractors on site, as well as carrying out and recording the routine safety and compliance checks in our buildings and communities.

About You
- Have worked in housing before and understand housing management, housing law and in an ideal world, universal credit too
- Super organised and methodical in your approach, youre also a proactive self-starter with a can do positive attitude
- Passionate about delivering excellent customer service and have a genuine desire to help your customers.
- This job can challenge, especially when were dealing with complaints, but your resilience will help you through.
- Confident working with external partners and stakeholders such as local authorities, MPs etc
- Like being part of a team but appreciate that this is a role where youll spend most of your time working in our local estates.

Job details
- This is a hybrid role and mean you will have a mixture of working from home, working on your patch and working in the office. But the good thing is, you manage your diary.
- may be some flexibility to adapt your working hours, do let us know about this when you meet us at the interview
- We mainly work Monday to Friday and sometimes evenings or Saturdays to meet with customers. The great news is that youll be able to shape your own diary.
- To get from A to B, youll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that well pay your mileage
- Youll need a Standard DBS check done and we pay for that.
