">Job Description
">This is an exciting opportunity to work in the field of Diabetes supporting healthcare professionals/patients to make informed decisions about treatment pathways in Diabetes. As a specialist nurse advisor with an intimate understanding of national treatment guidelines, you will work together with patients and practices to assist healthcare professionals to deliver the most up to date care for their patients.
">You will be responsible for delivering a unique nursing programme which will focus closely on driving best practice, delivering excellent patient care and improving patient outcomes. This role will suit a patient-focused NMC registered nurse who can demonstrate experience of working in Diabetes.
">The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience (post registration) managing diabetes within primary care. They will be knowledgeable and confident in the provision of education, support and advice to people with Type 2 Diabetes, as well as IT literacy, to include primary care systems.
">Required Skills and Qualifications
">A Full UK Driving Licence is required for this role, as you will be responsible for a defined geographical area and will need to travel to practice locations.
">Current NMC Registration and a Diabetes Diploma or Equivalent are also essential qualifications for this position.
