Special Needs Educator

Traditional Teaching Role
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Needs Teacher to join our team at a Special Needs high school in the Manchester area.
This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4pm (5pm finish Wednesdays, 3:30pm finish Fridays), with an estimated salary of £220/day for the first 12 weeks, increasing to a competitive rate based on experience from the 13th week onwards.
The successful candidate will be teaching a KS3 group of learners with Complex Needs on a structured timetable, learning at much lower levels than expected for their age. The school caters for young people aged 11-16 with Autism, SLD and Complex Needs, utilizing a bespoke curriculum focused on preparing students for life after school and aiming to help them achieve their potential.
The site features excellent facilities, including sensory rooms, soft play, hydrotherapy pool, forest school area, outdoor play, and gardens, as well as a cafe supported by students.
Responsibilities:
- An enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to apply for one
- Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
- The legal right to work in the UK
- QTS or QTLS qualification
Please note that this is a fixed-term contract until July 2025, with the possibility of extension into the next academic year.
