Job Title: Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to join our team at ECW Search. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering a strong, efficient, and effective Accounts Payable function in line with internal and external governance and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and implement the Accounts Payable process, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Develop and maintain effective governance and controls to ensure segregation of duties and reduce risk of inappropriate payments or missed payments.
  • Ensure accurate coding and financial analysis and reporting in terms of department budgets and P&Ls.
  • Implement purchase order process on non-inventory purchases and develop and run training for non-finance departments.
  • Improve reporting and insights to support month-end analysis and work with the financial control team to ensure financial postings are insightful for financial control.
  • Provide coaching and development to ensure that individuals understand how their work fits into the 'bigger picture' in the scope of the wider business.
Requirements:
  • Experience in running and driving improvements within a Procure-to-pay/Accounts Payable function, including implementation of OCR scan and capture technology over invoice processing.
  • Knowledge of accounting and VAT principles, enabling production of accurate VAT returns.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills, utilising information to identify areas of concern, root causes, and trends, driving improvements in overall performance and effectiveness.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to convey financial information or processes to non-finance departments.
