Medical Secretary and Administrative Support Professional

Job Overview:
The role of Medical Secretary and Administrative Support Professional involves providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to a consultant, doctor, and junior medical team, specialist nursing teams, and other health professionals at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
The successful candidate will have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, using discretion, judgment, and initiative. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, together with a keen eye for detail, with the ability to process and generate urgent and routine correspondence.
Key responsibilities include maintaining patient confidentiality, ensuring a high standard of customer care at all times, and having a flexible approach to work to meet the demands of the service.
Main Duties:
- Providing administrative support to the consultant, doctor, and junior medical team.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and files.
- Generating and processing correspondence, reports, and other documents.
- Coordinating and organizing meetings, appointments, and other events.
- Providing a high level of customer care and ensuring patient confidentiality at all times.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a medical secretary or in a similar administrative role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Keen eye for detail and ability to prioritize workload demands.
- Flexible approach to work and ability to meet deadlines.
