**Job Description:** Senior Occupational Therapist - Assessment Experience

Parker Smith Inclusion is a leading provider of paediatric assessment and therapy services in central London. We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Occupational Therapist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough assessments of children referred to the clinic, utilising standardised tools to identify areas of need.
  2. Develop tailored treatment plans, incorporating sensory integration approaches to promote optimal development.
  3. Provide high-quality occupational therapy interventions during sessions, aligning with evidence-based best practices.
  4. Foster strong partnerships with parents, equipping them with essential knowledge and skills to support their child's growth.
  5. Collaborate with educational institutions to recommend adjustments and strategies enhancing inclusive learning environments.
  6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation, encompassing reports and progress notes.

Person Specification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Substantial experience in working with children presenting various challenges, particularly those with autism.
  • Demonstrated capacity to conduct independent assessments.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a genuine enthusiasm for supporting children and their families.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, ensuring proficiency in the latest assessment and intervention techniques.
