Diabetes Specialist Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diabetes Specialist Nurse to join our team at The Diabetes Times. As a key member of our diabetes service, you will play a vital role in driving up standards and quality in diabetes care.
Key Responsibilities:- Work autonomously within the field of diabetes, using evidence-based guidelines to inform practice.
- Audit care given to patients and suggest improvements in services.
- Deliver complex educational packages to healthcare professionals and patients on effective diabetes management.
- Act as a clinical expert and professional resource to multi-professional teams, patients, and carers.
- Support the development of specialist areas of practice in partnership with other members of the specialty teams.
- Carry responsibility for a defined caseload and offer highly specialist advice on standards of care, assessment of care needs, and development of programs of care.
- Experience of working autonomously within the field of diabetes.
- Ability to work to evidence-based guidelines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multi-professional teams.
- Strong clinical governance skills.
