Diabetes Specialist Nurse

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Diabetes Specialist Nurse to join our team at The Diabetes Times. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to patients with diabetes, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to drive up standards and quality in diabetes care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work autonomously within the field of diabetes, using evidence-based guidelines to inform practice
- Audit care given to patients and suggest improvements in services
- Deliver complex educational packages to healthcare professionals and patients on effective diabetes management
- Act as a clinical expert and professional resource to multidisciplinary teams, patients, and carers
- Support the development of specialist areas of practice in partnership with other members of the specialty teams
Requirements:
- Experience of working autonomously within the field of diabetes
- Ability to work to evidence-based guidelines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
