About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Renal Specialist Dietitian to join our team at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will provide complex dietetic care to renal patients in a variety of settings, working closely with the renal Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) and other healthcare professionals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nutritional care to patients with complex renal needs in inpatient and outpatient settings, including dialysis units.
  • Work closely with the renal MDT to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Supervise and educate designated Band 5 staff and contribute to the training of students.
  • Participate in audit, research, and service development within the dietetic department and the renal service.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in a relevant field.
  • NHS experience.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Degree in Dietetics.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Attendance on relevant accredited courses.
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership and development.
  • Demonstrated specialist clinical knowledge in renal dietetics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
