The community paediatric team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust provides specialist paediatric services for children in Cumbria. The team works in collaboration with colleagues in Community Children's Services, Primary Care, and Cumbria County Council Children's Services to deliver a high-quality service.

As a community paediatrician, you will be responsible for providing a community paediatric service for children and young people in Cumbria, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and management of children with developmental difficulties and disabilities
  • Emotional and behavioural problems
  • Significant vision and hearing problems
  • Safeguarding concerns during consultations

Health Assessments:

  • Children Looked After (in-depth assessment of emotional and behavioural difficulties)
  • Children being adopted
  • Children being assessed for an Education, Health and Care Plan
