About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Consultant to join our team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a Community Paediatrician, you will be responsible for providing specialist services to children and young people with disabilities and complex needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage children with developmental difficulties and disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and neurodevelopmental conditions.
  • Provide health assessments for children looked after, children being adopted, and children being assessed for an Education, Health and Care Plan.
  • Work closely with other healthcare professionals, social workers, and education staff to ensure comprehensive care and support for children and families.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve services for children with disabilities.

Person Specification
  • MB or equivalent qualification in Paediatrics.
  • MRPCH or equivalent qualification in Paediatrics.
  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Experience of working with children with disabilities and complex needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
