About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Security Specialist to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our Infrastructure team, you will play a critical role in providing advice and guidance on IT security and further developing our IT policies and processes across a multi-region infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • IT Environment Review: Conduct a thorough review of all aspects of our IT environment and its components to ensure optimal security and performance.
  • Solution Design and Implementation: Gather requirements, design, and implement enterprise-wide solutions to improve our information security posture.
  • Security Advice and Guidance: Proactively provide advice and guidance on information security matters to our teams and stakeholders.
  • Policies and Procedures: Support the development and maintenance of our IT policies and security solutions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Cyber Essentials Plus: Maintain and improve our Cyber Essentials Plus Security Standard to ensure we remain secure and compliant.
  • Security Management: Co-ordinate, measure, and report on the technical aspects of security management to ensure our systems and networks remain secure.
  • Internal Governance: Fully participate in internal governance activities relating to Information Security to ensure our operations are secure and compliant.
  • Policies and Procedure Updates: Propose changes to existing policies and procedures to ensure operating efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Security Non-Conformities: Identify security non-conformities, patch or reconfigure systems to resolve issues, and build and test new security technologies.
  • Research and Recommendations: Research and propose appropriate security solutions to address emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Security Testing: Design, co-ordinate, and manage security testing procedures to verify the security of our systems, networks, and applications.
  • Technical Controls: Recommend and co-ordinate the implementation of technical controls to support and enforce defined security policies.
  • Threat Landscape Analysis: Manage the process of gathering, analysing, and assessing the current and future threat landscape to ensure we remain secure.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Monitor and report on compliance with security policies to ensure we remain secure and compliant.
  • Security Consultancy: Provide information security compliance consultancy to projects and operational teams to ensure our operations are secure and compliant.
  • Technology Infrastructure Assessments: Conduct Technology Infrastructure Assessments for new, changed, and existing systems to ensure they meet our security standards.
  • Security Program Development: Work with the Infrastructure manager to develop a security program and security projects to ensure our operations remain secure and compliant.
  • Issue Tracking: Track issues and agreed actions to completion to ensure our operations remain secure and compliant.
  • Security Communication: Provide security communication, awareness, and training to our teams and stakeholders to ensure they understand their security responsibilities.
  • Security Integration: Consult with IT and security staff to ensure that security is factored into the evaluation, selection, installation, and configuration of hardware, applications, and software.

About You

We are looking for someone with experience in information security risk and compliance functions, technical vulnerability management processing, and reporting. Your ability to engage with projects and provide information security awareness will be essential in this role.

Qualifications

We require an Experienced Cisco Administrator (CCNA Security) or equivalent qualification. If you have any other relevant certifications or experience, please highlight these in your application.
