About the Role


We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to join our team on Laurel 2 Oncology, based at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.


This is an exciting opportunity for you to increase your oncology experience and work in a rewarding environment. Our department cares for patients with various cancers who receive systemic anti-cancer therapies.


As a Healthcare Assistant, you will work alongside registered nurses as part of the ward team to provide care to patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting with washing and dressing patients, serving meals, and monitoring patients' conditions.


You will also assist with mobilisation, ensuring a safe environment, and using appropriate techniques. Communication with patients and their relatives is essential, and you will help ensure patients receive personalised care.


The successful candidate will have basic education qualifications, including Maths and English. Experience in a patient care setting or customer-facing environment is desirable. A NVQ 2 in Care Certificate is also beneficial.
