Nurse Specialist in Paediatric Oncology

Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in our Paediatric Oncology Shared Care Unit Team at Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
The successful applicant will join a compassionate and caring team in providing outstanding care to children and young people with cancer from Worcestershire and Herefordshire.
The post holder will liaise with other healthcare professionals from primary, secondary, tertiary, and community settings to ensure coordination and continuity of care from diagnosis to end-of-life care.
The post holder will need to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the service.
Main Duties of the Job- To be part of the initial diagnosis of children and young people with oncology disorders.
- To see children and families from the CYP oncology case load in both in-patient and out-patient settings, providing direct care, education, and support for patients and their families.
- To independently deliver nurse-led clinics when required.
- To demonstrate appropriate practice and specialist advice in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
