Veterinary Nurse Leadership Position

Welcome to Wanstead Veterinary Hospital, a leading 24-hour hospital with a rich history dating back to 1953. We are seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to fill the Deputy Head Veterinary Nurse role, working on a 4-day week basis.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from £35,000 to £40,000 per annum, depending on prior experience. This is a competitive offer that allows for growth and development within the role.

This role involves managing a team of VNA's and working closely with hospital management to promote a positive and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have line management experience and set an excellent example of clinical standards and high-quality care.

About the Role

As a Deputy Head Veterinary Nurse, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a team of VNA's
  • Working closely with hospital management
  • Setting clinical standards and promoting high-quality care
  • Participating in administration tasks and supporting the clinical floor
  • Average of 1:6 weekends with TOIL

The role offers a fantastic diagnostic support environment, with access to advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue, and minimally invasive surgery, as well as a commercial laboratory and new CT scanner. You will work alongside experienced surgeons and a strong medical team.
