We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Officer to join our Finance & Corporate Services directorate. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing supplier invoices, credit notes, and payments, ensuring that our supplier accounts are current, complete, and accurate.

We support agile working, providing all necessary IT equipment to work flexibly between your home and our Dartford office. You will be part of a friendly but hard-working team of 4, working closely with our team leader and colleagues.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing communication with suppliers via our shared Purchase Ledger email inbox
  • Preparing and submitting payment runs using the SunSystems accounting system, and ad-hoc payments using Bankline
  • Reconciling our supplier accounts to the suppliers' statements and liaising with the suppliers to resolve any discrepancies

Requirements:

  • Accounting experience: You should have a solid understanding of financial principles and be able to reconcile accounts
  • Computer skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, MS Excel, and MS Word, with experience in managing files using File Explorer
  • Reconciliation skills: Ability to resolve and reconcile issues with limited supervision
