Job Title: MHST Team Lead - Operational and Clinical Expert

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Team Lead to join our Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) in North East Essex. As a Team Lead, you will provide operational and clinical leadership, ensuring that your locality team meets operational and clinical targets. You will also be responsible for line managing clinical staff, promoting the three core functions of MHST, and facilitating the development of a positive and supportive team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational and clinical leadership within the MHST, ensuring that your locality team meets operational and clinical targets.
  • Line manage clinical staff within the MHST.
  • Actively promote the three core functions of MHST alongside the eight principles of the whole school approach.
  • Facilitate the development of a positive and supportive team culture.
  • Take an active interest in working parties and groups within the Trust to develop and improve on service delivery, protocols, and guidelines.
  • Participate in the audit process, linking in with the clinical governance agenda.
  • Advise and share knowledge utilizing the latest research and practice development, through literature and peer reviews in line with your registered governing body.
  • Ensure that a high-quality, timely, accessible, and evidence-based service is provided equitably across all schools who work in partnership with the MHST program.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within the NHS.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) program and the whole school approach.
