Strategic Technology Director - Wealth Management Solutions

£125,000 per annum Plus Bonus and Benefits

Psd Group, a leading integrated wealth management and professional services group, is currently seeking a talented Strategic Technology Director to join their Enterprise Architecture team in London. The team is responsible for their technology transformation agenda and requires an experienced and dynamic individual to create scalable solutions in line with their strategic priorities. Working across multiple functions and domains, you will be someone who can easily adapt, assimilate, and extrapolate to add value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop technology strategies and roadmaps with the Platform Strategy & Architecture function based on group strategic needs.
  • Hands-on Enterprise Architecture experience with a can-do attitude and desire to add value daily to achieve excellence in all undertakings.
  • Review and adopt frameworks and standards.
  • Able to quickly understand and document value chains and OpModels.
  • Create and maintain a repository of enterprise architecture design collateral, including blueprints and patterns, to support the federated architecture community.
  • Independently own design problems and high-impacting incidents, engaging stakeholders, SMEs, product managers, BAs, Solution Architects to achieve the required Enterprise Architecture or solution outcomes.
  • Think outside the box to add value in addition to solution architects embedded in programme delivery teams.
  • Complete market scans of vendor solutions and create summary papers detailing options and recommendations.
  • Incubate ideas and execute low-cost proof of concepts.
  • Lead software and application assessments, identifying growth & cost optimisation opportunities.
  • Develop cloud native solutions across multiple cloud platforms.
  • Provide technology thought leadership and oversight of all domain solution architects, supporting the development of solutions collaboratively and ensuring designs meet Design Authority and Architecture Review Board standards.

Key Skills and Experience Required:

  • Vast experience working as a Wealth or Asset Management enterprise architect or proven experience as an enterprise architect in tier 1 Financial Services firms more broadly.
  • Delivered modern software and database solutions in an environment that includes SaaS and in-house solutions (inc. microservices, event-driven design, API, tenants, etc).
  • Experience working as a developer and further experience as a domain solution architect.
  • Experienced in creating architecture design documents at high quality without rework, covering items such as maturity assessments, capabilities maps, roadmaps, architectural diagrams, etc., in a variety of formats.
  • Prepare and facilitate the Architecture Review Board and Solution Design Forum.
