Job Overview

Kings College Hospital is a leading provider of ophthalmic services in South East London, and this role will play a key part in delivering high-quality patient care.

The successful candidate will work closely with specialist and principal pharmacists to lead the clinical pharmacy service for surgery and ophthalmology, ensuring safe and effective medication management.

This is an exciting opportunity for a registered pharmacist to develop their skills and expertise in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with surgeons, ophthalmologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide clinical expertise and support to patients and staff.
  • Develop and implement innovative services to improve patient care and outcomes.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective pharmaceutical care.
  • Act as a deputy for the principal pharmacist and provide leadership and guidance to rotational staff.
Requirements
  • Registered pharmacist with 1 year of competency-assessed and examined professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent qualification.
  • Registered Independent Prescriber or willingness to complete.
  • Previous relevant specialist clinical experience.
