Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Oncology Pharmacist to lead our clinical pharmacy services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing operational pharmacy services to ensure patients receive safe, high-quality, and clinically effective pharmaceutical care.

You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide a specialist and patient-focused oncology pharmacy service, applying your expertise to develop pharmacist prescribing roles and undertaking clinical management and drug treatment of patients under an agreed clinical management plan.

As a leader in our pharmacy department, you will help deliver a strategic vision for the pharmacy and contribute to the overall objectives of our cancer centre.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement operational pharmacy services to ensure patients receive safe, high-quality, and clinically effective pharmaceutical care.
  2. Provide a specialist and patient-focused oncology pharmacy service, applying your expertise to develop pharmacist prescribing roles.
  3. Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide clinical pharmacy services and contribute to the overall objectives of our cancer centre.
  4. Develop and maintain SOPs, reports, and perform audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  5. Apply your knowledge of pharmacy stock control procedures and financial awareness in the management of drug budgets.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent.
  • Competency assessed and examined professional registration with the GPhC.
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent.
  • Pharmacist Independent Non-medical prescriber or willingness to work towards completion.
  • Experience working in Oncology pharmacy and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
