We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an Activities Assistant at Buxton Lodge Care Home. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact in your local community by working with older people.

Buxton Lodge Care Home, operated by Aurem Care Shared Services Limited, is a CQC registered care home rated good. We provide residential or nursing care for up to 40 older people, including those living with dementia.

This full-time role comes with a competitive hourly rate of £11.90 and 36 hours of work per week, inclusive of weekend shifts.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in organizing activities that cater to residents' interests and hobbies, such as chatting, live entertainment, baking, and arts and crafts.

  • Establish strong relationships with residents and their families to promote emotional well-being.
  • Maintain a varied programme of leisure pursuits and social events that keep our residents engaged.
  • Contribute to the overall delivery of our services through ad hoc duties when required.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and email systems is necessary.
  • A flexible contract with regular day shifts, evenings, and weekends.
  • 28 days of annual leave, including bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time contracts).
