Transportation Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Coordinator to join our team at the Dowlow Quarry in Buxton, Derbyshire. This role involves driving performance within the Distribution team, establishing procedures to enhance logistics fleet performance, and building strong relationships with stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Develop Procedures: Create and implement procedures to drive performance within the Distribution team, ensuring efficient customer delivery and reduced costs.
- Manage Stakeholders: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including hauliers, customers, and drivers, to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration.
- Identify Opportunities: Work closely with Transport Manager to identify opportunities for cost savings, optimise vehicle utilisation, and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills to drive team performance and develop a performance culture.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to anticipate problems, consider solutions, and negotiate with colleagues to resolve issues efficiently.
