Job Title: Study Skills Lecturer

Global Applied Knowledge is seeking a Study Skills Lecturer to support our students in developing effective learning strategies. The successful candidate will deliver workshops and one-on-one sessions focusing on academic skills, including writing, research, time management, and exam preparation.

Main Responsibilities
  • Teaching academic literacies and digital skills to students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Designing and delivering bespoke courses, digital resources, and workshop plans to develop study skills in the curricula.
  • Evaluating teaching and identifying areas for improvement to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant systems.
  • Participating in CPD to maintain currency in specialist areas and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Providing feedback on individual and class progress in understanding academic writing and study skills.
  • Recording details from tutorial consultations for statistical and evaluation purposes.
Requirements
  • Master's degree and/or a PhD in the relevant area.
  • Successful track record of teaching adult learners from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proven experience of providing individual and group study skills support.
  • High level of digital literacy and advanced communication skills.
