Job Title: Study Skills Lecturer

We are seeking a highly skilled Study Skills Lecturer to join our team at GBS Global Applied Knowledge. As a Study Skills Lecturer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our students in developing effective learning strategies.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver workshops and one-on-one sessions to support students in developing academic literacies and digital skills.
  • Collaborate with subject lecturers to develop and teach study skills within the curriculum across a range of HE programmes.
  • Provide assignment support and feedback to students, ensuring they meet the required standards.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress.
  • Participate in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to maintain currency in specialist areas and inclusive teaching practices.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree and/or a PhD in the relevant area.
  • Successful track record of teaching adult learners from diverse backgrounds on HE programmes.
  • Proven experience of providing individual and group study skills support in response to identified learning needs.
  • High level of digital literacy and advanced communication skills.
Desirable:
  • Expertise in digital educational resources development.
  • Course design and curriculum development experience.
  • DELTA qualification or Advance HE Fellowship.
