Section Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Section Engineer to join our team at Hinkley Point C, working within the Fish Return System team. As a Section Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the technical compliance of the project to the design specification, ensuring the project is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the preparation of 'as-built' drawings and establish effective systems to record work completed and update the Project Quality Plan accordingly.
  • Assist in the recording and testing of workmanship and materials, including drainage, concrete, piling, and brickwork.
  • Ensure the workforce understands setting out information has been identified as suitable for the type of work being carried out.
  • Manage the preparation of sketches for distribution on site, ensuring clear communication channels are in place for effective understanding.
Requirements:
  • HNC/Degree or equivalent.
  • Commercial and Contractual awareness.
  • Able to liaise in a professional manner with Client, Client Representatives, General Public, and a team leader with organisational skills.
  • Having experience in a similar role.
