Job Title: Section Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Section Engineer to join our Natural Resources, Nuclear and Network team based in Hinkley Point C. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the technical compliance of the project to the design specification, ensuring that the assigned project (or section) is completed safely, on time, and to the required quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the preparation of 'as-built drawings' and establish effective systems to record work completed and update the Project Quality Plan accordingly.
  • Assist in the recording and testing of workmanship and materials, providing engineering support to ensure complex problems are overcome and complex queries are answered.
  • Ensure that the workforce understands setting out information has been identified as suitable for the type of work being carried out.
  • Manage the preparation of sketches for distribution on site, ensuring clear communication channels are in place for effective understanding.
Requirements:
  • HNC/Degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Commercial and Contractual awareness.
  • Able to liaise in a professional manner with Client, Client Representatives, General Public, and a team leader with organisational skills.
  • Having experience in a similar role.
