Randstad Construction and Property is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Section Engineer to work on a long-term infrastructure project. The successful candidate will have a solid track record in working on major civils projects for tier 1 contractors.
Key Responsibilities:- Section Management: Take ownership of a specific section of the project, including roads, bridges, or other infrastructure components, and manage all engineering activities within that section.
- Surveying and Setting Out: Utilise surveying equipment to establish accurate measurements, set out project elements, and ensure precise construction execution.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work within your section to ensure it complies with project specifications, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Health and Safety: Champion a culture of safety within your section, implement and enforce health and safety procedures, and ensure the well-being of all personnel.
This role is inside IR35 and offers an attractive day rate, as well as a daily lodge bonus payment. The shift pattern is 7 on 4 off, 7 on 3 off, allowing for a longer break to return home if lodging away for the position.
Tunnelling experience is preferable, but not essential. As is works involving FRC. The successful candidate will have a solid track record in working on major civils projects for tier 1 contractors.
