About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Worker to join our team at CareTech UK. As a Residential Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing a supportive and nurturing environment for children and young people in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish meaningful relationships with children and young people, creating a positive and warm environment.
  • Provide a supportive role in the lives of the children, offering advice, assistance, and support to help them address past and present difficulties.
  • Be adaptable and flexible, with a 'can-do' attitude and a genuine love for working with young children.
  • Foster ambition in young people, assisting them in achieving their goals and maximizing their potential.
  • Maintain accurate records and prepare written reports for planning meetings, reviews, or any other meetings as directed by the line manager.
  • Empower young people to actively participate in decision-making about their lives and future.
  • Encourage community engagement, attending off-site activities, and expanding their personal social networks.
  • Meet the needs of children and young people, organizing social activities and maintaining the home (laundry, cooking, cleaning, shopping, etc.).
Requirements
  • Full UK driving license required.
  • No prior experience necessary, only a commitment and passion for working with young people.
  • Attendance at a 2-week training program required.
  • Must have availability for sleep-in shifts.
