About the Role

The Senior Social Work Practitioner will be responsible for upholding operational requirements and monitoring timely statutory responsibilities. They will maintain up to date detailed knowledge of relevant legislation, council policies and procedures.

The role will involve line managing BIA's within the team by offering regular supervision and completing the necessary paperwork. The post holder will also be responsible for completing DoLS authorisations, managing the team when the team leader is off, and supervising staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Uphold operational requirements and monitor timely statutory responsibilities
  • Maintain up to date detailed knowledge of relevant legislation, council policies and procedures
  • Line manage BIA's within the team
  • Complete DoLS authorisations
  • Manage the team when the team leader is off
  • Supervise staff

Requirements

The successful candidate will need to have a good understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. They will also need to be able to work effectively as part of a team and have excellent communication skills.
