About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Clinical Administrator to join our team at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust. As a key member of the outpatient department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of patient services.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively with patients, clinicians, and administrative staff. You will also possess strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities
  • To receive, process, download, and action all validation responses in a timely and accurate manner.
  • To manage inbound and outbound telephone calls to/from patients in an efficient and patient-focused manner.
  • To cancel and rearrange appointments as requested by patients, following the rules set out in the Access Policy for Planned Care Services.
  • To ensure that all patients on a new outpatient waiting list who have requested to be removed are accurately removed, and the patient and GP are made aware of this.
Requirements
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • A good understanding of administration procedures and policies.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including pension scheme, annual leave, and training opportunities.
