Care Home Kitchen Assistant Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our care home team in Swanley, Kent, as a Kitchen Assistant. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for supporting our kitchen staff in preparing and serving meals that cater to the diverse needs and preferences of our residents.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and serve meals in accordance with established dietary requirements and resident preferences.

  3. Contribute to a safe food preparation environment by following established protocols and guidelines.
  4. Support the kitchen team with various tasks such as peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
  5. Effectively manage and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring it remains in good working condition.
  6. Monitor inventory levels and notify the cook/chef of any stock shortages or discrepancies.
  7. Strive to create a positive and respectful atmosphere within the care home, upholding the values of dignity and confidentiality.
