Operations Manager - Section (Aggregates & Asphalt)

At Tarmac, we're committed to creating a dynamic and inclusive environment where our people can thrive. We're seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our operations team at our Tarmac Cairneyhill Quarry and Asphalt Plant in Caldercruix, Airdrie.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee all quarrying operations on site, ensuring safety and operational standards are met.
  • Provide assistance to the Asphalt plant as needed.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational performance, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Lead change and continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining disciplined stock management processes and producing operational reports.
  • Manage a highly skilled team, coaching and developing them to ensure business continuity and reduce risk.
  • Ensure compliance with business policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Quarry Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Highly experienced in Quarrying Operations/Asphalt operations.
  • IOSH/NEBOSH certification advantageous.
  • Strong IT skills, including SAP and Microsoft packages.
  • Ability to multitask and manage change.
