Job Title: Special Needs Support Assistant

We are seeking a Psychology graduate to work with children who have Special Educational Needs (SEN) in an outstanding primary school. The successful candidate will have a 1st Class Degree and be looking to acquire more child-centred experience, particularly with vulnerable children requiring additional support.

The role involves working with children who have Autism statements and may be non-verbal. This requires prior experience in supporting such individuals. As a Special Needs Support Assistant, you will receive comprehensive Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities offered by the school. These include internal and external training sessions, such as manual handling training like 'Team Teach', to equip you for challenging scenarios that may arise while working with vulnerable SEN children.

Salary: £475-£550 per week (inclusive of holiday entitlement).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children with Special Educational Needs in a primary school setting.
  • Work closely with teachers to develop strategies for supporting vulnerable children.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in manual handling and other areas relevant to the role.
