About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Scrub Nurse/Practitioner to join our friendly and expert multidisciplinary theatre team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the continual cleanliness of the theatre and equipment, developing and executing procedures for ordering, receiving, and transferring blood and blood products, and acting as an advocate for patients in the intra-operative phase.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure the cleanliness of the theatre and equipment
  • Develop and execute procedures for blood and blood product management
  • Act as an advocate for patients in the intra-operative phase

About You

We are looking for a Registered NMC Nurse with experience as a scrub practitioner in a theatre, or an HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner. You will have knowledge and experience of working with an orthopaedic team, experience of major orthopaedic surgery, and a sound knowledge of Health and Safety/Risk management within the operating department.
