Main Responsibilities
As a Theatre Scrub Nurse, you will be responsible for ensuring the continual cleanliness of the theatre and equipment. You will also develop and execute the correct procedures for ordering, receiving and transfer of blood and blood products as well as blood conservation. Additionally, you will act as an advocate for the patient in the intra-operative phase and be responsible for total patient care in the perioperative phase.
About the Role
We are looking for a Registered NMC Nurse with experience of being a scrub practitioner in a theatre, or an HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner. You will have knowledge and experience of working with an orthopaedic team, experience of major Orthopaedic surgery, and be fully up to date with current research and developments in theatre practice. You will also have a sound knowledge of Health and Safety/Risk management within the operating department.
