Senior Medical Support Professional

Job Summary:
The Hicks Group practice is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Medical Support Professional to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare support staff, you will provide high-quality administrative and secretarial services to our doctors and management team. Your primary focus will be on supporting the smooth operation of our practice, ensuring that patients receive excellent care and service.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organized individual to take on a challenging role in a dynamic healthcare environment. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as strong organizational and time management abilities. You will work closely with our Lead Receptionist to develop the role and contribute to the effective delivery of our services.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and secretarial support to our doctors and management team
- Maintain accurate records and filing systems
- Coordinate appointments, referrals, and correspondence
- Develop and implement efficient procedures to improve patient care and service
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve shared goals and objectives
Requirements:
- Basic numeric and literacy GCSE/GCE or equivalent
- Computer literate ECDL or CLAIT
- Secretarial or administrative qualification at NVQ level 2 or higher (or equivalent)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
