Financial Analyst

Canon Europe is seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the Financial Accounting Manager in achieving all deliverables in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure proper accounting in compliance with legal and internal guidelines to ensure correct monthly, quarterly and annual submissions in accordance with US GAAP and local accounting requirements.
- Provide insight, analysis, and commentary on balance sheet performance, aiming to influence and drive decisions that improve the balance sheet position.
- Responsible for the timely preparation of month end JDE accounts for UK and subsidiaries.
- Build a strong understanding of finance systems, especially JDE and international accounting standards.
- Help financial accountant with inventory reconciliation and clean up.
- Liaise directly with auditors to respond to audit queries in a timely and accurate manner.
- Preparation of the US GAAP balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Provide commentary on variances verses prior year, investigate discrepancies and rectify in timely manner.
- Continuous Improvement, actively reviewing internal processes with a view to continually improving them, identifying areas for optimisation.
- Supporting the accounting manager with monthly and adhoc tasks as required.
- Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA) or studying towards accounting qualification.
- Advanced Excel skills, macro knowledge will be advantageous.
- Experience using different IT systems.
- Communicate Effectively.
- Planning & Organisation.
- Attention to detail.
Contracted hours are 37. This role is primarily office based, with the ability to work from home two days per week. Job sharing can also be considered.
