Genetic Counsellor Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Genetic Counsellor to work at Principal level within our Education and Training team. This role combines clinical, managerial, and education responsibilities.

The successful candidate will be based in the West Midlands region and hold clinics in the area. They will contribute to leading a compassionate team of genetic counsellors, genomics associates, genomic practitioners, and nurse specialists in genetics.

This post is an integral part of the Genetic Counsellor management team and the post holder will make a key contribution to the strategic direction of the genetic counselling and clinical service through supported roles in management, education, training, research, and service improvement.

Main Duties:
  • Hold clinics in the West Midlands region.
  • Contribute to leading a compassionate team of genetic counsellors.
  • Make a key contribution to the strategic direction of the genetic counselling and clinical service.

Requirements: Essential qualifications include registration with the GCRB or HCPC as a Genetic Counsellor. Significant experience of genetic counselling, leadership, education, and service development are advantageous.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
